Home Chest Workout: Incline Dumbbell Fly Variant

I love sqeezing exercises for chest as most of my results in chest mass and strength have come from this type exercise. I have covered the basic dumbbell fly in a previous video and here I have a cool variant that you do on an incline bench (or a board leaning against a wall). For this incline fly use a light weight, approximately 20% of what you use for incline dumbbell press. In this exercise we keep the arms straight but not locked and the arms are not perpendicular to our sides like in a normal fly, are not alongside our legs, but halfway inbetween. The palms are facing up at a 45 degree angle.

Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts.

Siberian Husky Puppy- Selene

This is a video I made of my “baby” growing up. LOL. Enjoy! 🙂

Edit: To future impulsive husky owners who just wants this breed for looks yet knows nothing about them ( Please disregard this if you aren’t :p )
I often cringe when people write, “I’m getting a hsky soon!!!!!!” or when some asks me superficial questions such as, “Can huskies live in Canada?” because it just shows that they have not done their homework. If you are planning to get a husky, I highly recommend you do your research about the breed beforehand. Many people (some I’ve known personally) impulsively get huskies solely for their looks only to? find out they are difficult to care for and train. They are dogs that are bred to run so they will RUN and PULL without proper training. Therefore, they need a lot of exercise so do not bother getting a husky if you are a couch potato or if you are just going to leave your dog in the backyard. They are highly intelligent and have a mind of their own so training may be a struggle of power but it’s sooo worthwhile. 🙂 Although they are wonderful dogs (very sweet, playful natured), they require a lot of patience and training. If you are planning to leave your huskies outside, make sure there is a shady place, unless you live in a cool place. Please find reliable answers in books and websites instead of asking superficial questions on my page, and by that I mean something like ,”Can your husky bite you?” -_-” Please research!!!

Reverse Fly For Shoulder

Lots of people make the mistake of just doing their favorite exercises rather than doing a well rounded workout. For example, lets take the bench press people, you can spot them easily they walk around like this. Their chests are so out-of proportion strong that it seems to pull their shoulders forward like a dry leaf. Dont let this happen to you!

Its really important for the health of your shoulders and knees that all the muscles, even the small ones, are strong and in balance. With shoulders many people just like doing the pressing exercises because you can do a lot of weight with presses but as I mentioned before its important to keep things in balance. The reverse fly is one of those important exercises, it works the back of the shoulders, the traps, the upper back, and can help with posture.

The right way to do this exercise is to bend over so the back is horizontal and motionless, you can lightly touch your head to a table or bench to give tactile feedback that you are remaining motionless. From this position, we slowly raise the dumbbells up with straight arms till the dumbbells are as high as our shoulders, we hold in this position for a second, then slowly let the weight down. When the weights are in the up position, your body should look like a “T” when viewed from above , your arms should be in a line with each other not swept back like a 747 ready for takeoff.

There are some alternative ways to do this exercise. If you are concerned about your lower back, you can also do these laying face down on a bench with your head hanging out over the end of the bench. The bench needs to be tall enough that your hands dont hit the ground when you do this. If you belong to a gym a great way to do this exercise is to use pec dec machine in reverse.

Lots of ways to do this exercise incorrectly:

arch back like a hissing cat
sag your back like a banana
going too fast
bobbing your head up and down
too heavy, can’t get dumbbells up to shoulder height
go too high up risking shoulder injury
swinging weights up
using legs
arms swept back like a 747 ready for takeoff

What exercise should I do to firm up my legs?

I need to make my thighs and calves thinner. What should I do and how many times a day? I’m 15, by the way.

Stretching will make the muscles look longer and leaner. A good one for the calves is to stand on your tippy toes and hold it, then put your feet back on the floor. Thighs are much harder to make look thinner, but running and biking help me a lot. I try to do all the stuff ballerinas do, because think about it, have you seen many ballerinas with big looking legs?

what are some great leg exercise that actually work?

Squats (legs spread shoulder-width apart, squat down but be careful to keep your knees from passing your toes) and lunges with 5-10 lb. dumbells. Do them every 3 days to prevent yourself from injuries. Jump roping is great too, and it’s intense cardio. Dancing is good for toning the legs too.

Does anyone have the LEG MAGIC exercise thing?

I’m trying to get a credible review of the LEG MAGIC exercise machine "as seen on TV." If you’ve used it, even briefly, I need to know what you think. Is it worth buying? Does it actually do anything? Can you feel it working? Are there any results? Thanks!

I just bought it tonight! Well, it’s getting late..so I tried it for about 10 mins. I immediately feel it in my inner thighs. My outer thighs-? I don’t know, maybe I didn’t do it right. I’ll know tomorrow if my outer thighs are sore. It came with a DVD. The instructor shows how to do lunges and sit ups and push ups.. When I bought it, I thought the machine worked the inner and outer thighs (it does), the abs (it does not) and the butt (it does not). That’s what the aerobic exercises she does in the video are for. I feel a bit like I was cheated, because the box said it worked these 4 body parts! I am going to give it a whirl and decide if I will keep it in the next few days. To answer your question..It defiantly felt like it was working my inner thighs IMMEDIATELY.
