Edit: To future impulsive husky owners who just wants this breed for looks yet knows nothing about them ( Please disregard this if you aren’t :p )
I often cringe when people write, “I’m getting a hsky soon!!!!!!” or when some asks me superficial questions such as, “Can huskies live in Canada?” because it just shows that they have not done their homework. If you are planning to get a husky, I highly recommend you do your research about the breed beforehand. Many people (some I’ve known personally) impulsively get huskies solely for their looks only to? find out they are difficult to care for and train. They are dogs that are bred to run so they will RUN and PULL without proper training. Therefore, they need a lot of exercise so do not bother getting a husky if you are a couch potato or if you are just going to leave your dog in the backyard. They are highly intelligent and have a mind of their own so training may be a struggle of power but it’s sooo worthwhile. 🙂 Although they are wonderful dogs (very sweet, playful natured), they require a lot of patience and training. If you are planning to leave your huskies outside, make sure there is a shady place, unless you live in a cool place. Please find reliable answers in books and websites instead of asking superficial questions on my page, and by that I mean something like ,”Can your husky bite you?” -_-” Please research!!!

you are so right about what is involved in the care of a Siberian. As a past siberian owner, I know that they are wonderful dogs but can be extremely destructive when they are bored. Please do some research before you decide to get one. BTW, Selene is such a beautiful dog!

Selene is absolutely, positively gorgeous! I love your video description! My boyfriend and I are considering a husky. I’ve worked in a pet grooming salon, I have studied and studied and studied, not to mention I’ve dealt with the little smart devils. Hehe, we’re trying to get one as young as possible to start training out asap. They’re beautiful dogs, smart as any human and gorgeous. Plus their personality is to die for.
