Welcome to my new S61XL mass gain program! This series is for the hardcore intermediate or advanced bodybuilders who wants to gain muscle and is willing to work hard to get it. If your gains have stagnated and you are having trouble making progress this series is for you! If you hate coming up with workouts but still want to work out hard, this series is for you! The videos in this series are complete workouts, just press play and follow along.
Please do not attempt these S61XL workouts unless you have been weight lifting five days a week for at least a year. Beginners would be much better off with my beginning workout plan. It takes time to build up the tendons and joints to withstand this kind of punishment and you will get injured if you start this program before your body is ready. I’m going to focus on some unusual workouts that even a pro bodybuilder would find challenging. Most bodybuilders make the mistake of not mixing their workouts up enough and get stuck in the three-sets-of-eight rut or the one-rep-max rut. Its best to do these workouts at home but do them at a gym if thats your only option. Home is much better because you can completely eliminate the wasted time running between machines or waiting for equipment. These workouts are designed so that they only require inexpensive used weights, nothing fancy. I guarantee you that if you incorporate these unusual workouts into your training program once a month or so you will see an increase in your gains. Please make sure your expectations are reasonable though!
For best results, dont use these workouts every week but rather use them at most once a month. A good workout plan for an advanced bodybuilder might be to workout every bodypart once a week and to follow this progression
Week 1 – Lift heavy, work on one rep max and low rep sets (under 5 reps)
Week 2 – Normal, 3 sets of 8 workouts
Week 3 – Drop sets on every exercise – 3 sets of 8, no rest drop 25% weight & do 8 more reps, drop another 25% weight and do final 8 reps
Week 4 – Do S61XL workout
This insures that each muscle is constantly being bombarded and confused, a very old technique but just as valuable today as it was 200 years ago.

Hey Scooby I’m just curious I was thinking of trying this workout soon but instead of dumbbell rows in the first superset, I wanted to replace them with dumbbell Pullovers, and move the dumbbell rows to the second superset or so. Is this a bad idea? Good idea?

nobody said it was, …
nobody said it was, the presence of amino acids in your blood stream has an anti-catabolic effect, while the sudden change/ spike in amino acids in the blood stream is what causes the initialization of protein synthesis, this is why the combination of anticatabolic(casein) and synthesis promoting(whey) proteins is superior to favoring one over the other.

How I …
@ spartan1893
How I weed it out? If it sounds too sensational it’s usually wrong. If it doesn’t work for me and doesn’t help my training it’s certainly wrong for me. If it sounds like only a guy who has swallowed a whole pharmacy could get it done – hands off. Basically, I use common sense and personal experience. Just as scooby does. ^^
What do you think …
What do you think about 4 meals a day? That’s about what I eat, sometimes 5.
Come on big dog one …
Come on big dog one more rep dammit! 1…2…3…uugggghhhhhhh!!!!
Cont 1
In fact …
Cont 1
In fact eating one or two large meals means it will take your body 10-12 hours to digest it… from stomach up to small intestine where most of the absorption happens. All that time amino acids are being released into your bolod stream. So the idea eating lots of little meals will cause your body to burn fat, assuming your exercising and it needs fuel is just a myth too. The only SURE rate to get your body to burn stored fat is when fuel in blood stream is depleted.
Now that I crawled …
Now that I crawled out on a branch, the science behind it. Regardless how much or what you eat you will “burn up” roughly 10% of the calories through the process of digestion. So it matters not if you eat 3 meals that equal 2000 calories or 8 meals, if you eat 2000 calories or whatever you eat, you still burn off 10% by the act of disgesting the food. The bodybuilder myth, eating a lot of little means puts your body into a catabolic state is simply not true and not born out by the research.
Remember all the …
Remember all the muscle heads giving nuturitional advice aren’t medical doctors. Eating 6-8 “little” meals all day long will in theory raises your metabolism, however it can also create negative effects like increasing the acid in your stomach which might lead to health problems, like cronic heart burn which can progess to acid reflux which over time can lead to serious esophagus damage. It also raises common sense questions. If you are always eating, when is your body burning excess fat?
yeaahh i know that …
yeaahh i know that man but i have a problem going on with my digestive system.. i cant eat 8 times a day anymore like i used to… i know its the best way but cant eat anymore like that do to this problem

@Dimitrios57x If …
@Dimitrios57x If you’re only eating 3 meals a day then you have to lump all of your protein/carbs… Which isn’t good. Try breaking your p/c intake over 5-6 meals. Scooby’s website goes into this in great detail.
@calbeeeeee Have …
@calbeeeeee Have you tried alternating your workouts like scooby does?
Week 1 – Lift heavy, work on one rep max and low rep sets (under 5 reps)
Week 2 – Normal, 3 sets of 8 workouts
Week 3 – Drop sets on every exercise – 3 sets of 8, no rest drop 25% weight & do 8 more reps, drop another 25% weight and do final 8 reps
