does riding a stationary bike work the glutes out and firm the muscles..?

also, does a stationary bike that doesn’t have resistance to it burn a good bit of calories.? Does the stationary bike work all of the leg muscles and firm and or build them up too? Anyone have any experience with this subject? Thanks

It won’t help you burn many calories if it doesn’t have any resistance. If you add the resistance, yes, it will firm up and tone the leg muscles and burn a lot of calories if you ride hard enough. It will strengthen the legs, but you shouldn’t "bulk up" from riding.

how can i really work out my glutes?

Im trying to get a more shapely and firm butt but no matter how many lunges or squats i do, i NEVER feel it in my butt. Ive tried doing treadmills at a realllly high incline and the stair climber but the next day, my thighs feels sore but never my butt. How can i strengthen my glutes without my other muscles taking the load?

Have you tried "dead lifts"?
You bend over (basically in half touching your toes, and lift a weight from that position but you do this Not using your legs, that’s why it’s called a dead lift)

Another thing you can try is knee lifts. I have walking videos where you lift your knee in time with the walking (to a beat of a song) and I feel that in my butt.

You have to remember that it is hard to target only 1 certain area of the body and everything you do with your glutes will effect your quads and hamstrings too.

i want to work at home whats the easiest and best out there ?

Honestly your best bet would be to research it all yourself; All you’ll receive on Yahoo Answers are people trying to get THEMSELVES credit by referring you to sites which are possibly scams. I’m not necessarily saying the people doing the referring are scammers, I just mean in general you may not want to get advice from someone trying to benefit off you.

Try looking into Mystery Shopping. It’s not technically working at home but it’s actually really easy, fun, and you can make a few dollars here and there! I use Certified Marketing but you can Google it and find a site that lists legitimate agencies.

I am 17 year old. I like to do work at home and i am trying to find online job. Can anyone help me to find some good websites? I want safe and also easy work like i don’t need any experience. But i have all basic computer experience.
Please Help Me Out!!!!

like they say, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. if you are recieving emails, postal letters, things of that nature, you are just one of the millions that this industry tries to contact, including myself.
there are some legitimate ones, however, you should contact your local BBB to find out which ones are worth following up on. good luck

For all you stay at home moms, is there any work at home opportunities that DOESNT charge you that you know of

I am looking to make some money for my family and since daycare cost so much it’s just easier to be at home with my little ones(PLUS IM PREGGO) but I can’t seem to find a legitiment job out there that will work with a stay at home mom. I am really good at typing and know my way around the computer quite well so PLEASE HELP! I have already tried EBAY and am running out of things to sell. OR do you know of any no cost drop shipping companies/sites out there that you have made quite a profit from would be helpful too. THANK YOU MUCH!!!!
HOW DO IT DO THE CATALOG STUFF? Are you talking going from door to door? Plus i already did cashcrate its getting harder and harder to get things approved on there plus they have the same offers all the time.

Starting your own online business can be great! However, there ARE a lot of scams out there so be very careful when you start out. You can check out http://www.bbb.org/alerts/article.asp?ID=436 they give you the 411 on data entry jobs, envelop stuffing and home assembly work scams.

I tried going to the http://www.pcworkathome.net site last week and it lead me to a lot of dead ends. They all seemed to be scams in the end that wanted my money.

I did, however, find an international home-based business that works for me. I looked into data entry jobs, but they all wanted you to pay money and most of them involved typing adds. Not what I had in mind. =/ But I really like the business I found. I did the free trial at first so I had time to check it out. I’m glad I did! =) NO cold calling and NO selling soap to friends and family.

You can check out the site at: http://www.automaticbuilder.com/43264/

If this is something you might be interested in I’d be happy to help get you started.

After 3-6 months you can make about $500 a month and after 1 year $1,000 or more a month. And so on. So it’s not a get rich quick gimmick, it does take time. But it’s steady, long term and residual.

Good Luck!

Has anyone here ever worked at home depot?

I’m 17 and I turn 18 in another year. I have never had a job before in my life and I plan on getting one when I turn 18.

I was thinking about Home Depot because they have overnight workers who stock shelves. I’m usually up all night long anyways because I dropped out of school and I have social anxiety. I have no friends either. I usually love to mow my parents lawn and mow my grandmas lawn and weedwack it. I love being out in the yard doing yard work and things like that.

Well, I think home depot would be good because since im always up all night, I could get a job at night stocking shelves. There wouldnt be tons of people around and I wouldnt have to worry about being anxious. I’m also a very big kid and I can pick up heavy things and carry heavy things. It also seems like very easy work. I would hope to get hired full time.
I think it would be cool and stuff because I like power tools and all that stuff.

Is home depot a good place to work?

I have never wrk’d there b/c i’m only 15 and im not old enough anyway. But if wanna wrk there all u need to do is fill out an application and hope the best!!

best of luck w/job thingy,
Zachry

anyone know of a lucrative work at home job?

Does anyone know a ligitmate website or company to call to find an easy job to do from home that will pay good money …with only pc skills…not cold calling or selling anything. There are so many scams out there.

I know a lot about this topic so please forgive the length of this reply. I have a lot of good info for you. I am a mother of two little girls who are actually tugging on my arm as I write this so I will try to be brief. Many people are looking for work from home companies. All the scams definitely create a big problem but also, there is a problem of people misunderstanding the difference between work from home "jobs" and work from home opportunities. There really are not work from home “jobs”. To get that you have to start working for a company in their offices first, then they MAY allow you to take the job home.

http://working-from-home-ireland.blogspot.com/

Most of the work from home opportunities that are legitimate offers are not an hourly pay type job. They are business opportunities that help you in starting your own business from your home.

What you should do first is to decide if you are simply looking for an hourly rate type job or if you are looking for more of an opportunity for additional income such as what you would make in your own business being your own boss from home. Many say a JOB stands for Just Over Broker and I have found that to be true as well. I never got anywhere working for others.

Small home businesses have some small costs involved, less then $100 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $300, $500 even some asking for $1000-$5000. It doesn’t cost that much to start and run a home business so you shouldn’t pay it. The real ones will have a small monthly overhead as well. Should be around $50 a month but no more then $75. And everything should be included from your web sites to training and team support to back office accounting and booking. It’s ok to pay this overhead because it’s a business, they cost money. It’s not reasonable to assume you can run a business from home with a website and more for free so do keep that in mind as you search.

http://www.working-from-home-jobs.com/

If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN don’t walk the other way! They never are. I tried them many a times and 3 weeks later I had to buy this and 6 weeks later that. After 6 months these “free businesses” had cost me over $800 on average.

I’m a stay at home mom of two little girls as I mentioned, ages 1 and 3. I work about 15-18 hours per week for a National Medical Benefits Company. This is a home business, a nationally known and reputable home business which is what you need to make sure you are looking for. I have been with the company almost a year now and I make over $2000 a month! In your first month, depending on how many hours you can work, I have seen people make anywhere from $300 to over $3000. And your income will increase each month because we get paid residual income as well. If I continue on as I am going at the end of the year I will be making $5000 a month. My friend Becky from South Carolina started 2 years before me and she is now making $95,000 a year with this company.

The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit, life insurance and a benefits package most of which you get from day one. In addition, there are no products, no hard selling or pushing, no cold calling, no home parties and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me.

I absolutely love working with them and I can’t believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone. You have great team support and you get to know the other people on your team pretty well. The support is great but I have made wonderful friends as well. I think that’s important too, especially being at home!

I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company in the US. They are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Dental Plans and the owner of the company actually sits on the board of The Consumer Health Alliance to which we are also members. Also they were featured in “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” “Time Magazine” and the “American Medical Review”. Even “60 Minutes” with Morley Safer did a big special on this home based business.

Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nation wide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-mart, Publix and more. These companies would never work with a company that was any thing less then reputable. That made me feel very good about working with them knowing they were accepted at these stores that I frequent. Also now of course being with them I get the dental and vision benefits for free and I saved over $150 on my last visit to the dentist! That’s just a beautiful perk! : – )

When I first started I just felt very safe with them, that and my friend was already making so much money with Ameriplan. But at this point I feel a sense of security financially that our family has never had before. That plus LOVE
