My glutes are sore from working out, do I work out anyway or leave it alone?

I gave my legs a break yesterday but now I’m not sure what to do.

Muscles need at least 48 hours to recover after a workout. When you work your legs you are working your glutes at the same time. It is a good idea to take a break today from doing actual muscle exercises and instead stretch and go for a walk or a light jog to keep the muscles active but not overwork them. Then tomorrow you can continue your exercise routine.

Leave them alone, you’ll only make it worse and the workout won’t be as effective.

It would probably be in your best interest to wait before working out your glutes again. It wouldn’t be dangerous, it would just slow your results. Though if you aren’t really looking to get stronger then I suppose theres no harm in it. If you decide not to work them though you could always work another muscle group…

Your building more muscle. Its just where you didn’t stretch or you haven’t worked out in awhile.

You are prob suffering from DOMS (Delayed Onset muscle sorness). I did lunges with 30 lb dumbbells in each hand on an inside football field and my glutes are sore.

Wait until the soreness goes away because you will not be able to train to full potential when they are sore and you could risk over training.

You can still workout, just focus on a different area of your body.

And make sure you’re treating the soreness too. Stretch, drink water, and ice them.

Depends on how sore sore is and how nice you want to be to yourself.

You can in fact work through any amount of soreness if you want to. It is up to you where you draw the dividing line when it’s an injury. Rest is sometimes the best option.
