I already walk everyday for an hour and eat healthy. I’m not fat, I would just like to firm my legs up. I heard lunges and squats are good, but I also heard they build bulk, which is what I don’t want. Are there any leg exercises I can do to tone up but not bulk up? If so, how many a day should I do?
Strength training exercise for your legs will not build bulk into your legs.
Instead, a proper leg workout will build beautiful lean muscle mass into them, giving them leaner and sleeker shapes and forms.
I’ve work out my legs based on this strength training routine
for my legs: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/leg-workouts.html
Workout all 3 sections of your legs: hamstrings, calves and quadriceps; 3-4 times per week for 10-15 minutes per session. You’ll see results in about 6-8 weeks.
being a woman, you won’t build bulk….almost impossible. To build bulk requires testosterone and that is what guys have. So, it’s almost impossible for a girl to bulk up like a guy.
Yes, squats are the best and lunges are very good.
Do as many as you can, then when you can’t do anymore, rest then do more again later. the more you do, the more you can do.
