I need some easy home remedies to get the smell out when my dog poops on the carpet and hardwood floor. I always clean the mess up right away when she has an accident and then spray it with air freshener like there’s no tomorrow, but there’s still that hint of smell left over. It’s really embarrassing when visitors come over. So what are the best home remedies to remove this fowl smell?
the dog is coming back to the scent it knows, use undiluted white vinegar to clean area.
also with a rolled up newspaper tap dog on nose with a sharp loud no ,if you see it about to repeat the performance , show it the door to go outside

for pee they sell a spray at the store(for carpet), or u can a mixture of a cleaner/deodorizer and a little water to dilute it. pour it on, scrub and wipe it off with a rag or paper towel (for wood floors). for other carpet stains (poop, pee, other things) i recommend using oxy power detergent and water mix and scrub that in the carpet, and soak it up the best you can with a rag or towel, works great
hope i helped

my dad owns a house cleaning company
Clean the spot with undiluted Lemon Pine Sol. It removes the smell of cat urine, so dog urine and poop smells should be a piece of cake.
Just pour the Lemon Pine Sol on a soft cloth or a paper towel straight from the bottle and clean with that.
It worked for me when I babysat my father cat. The Pine Sol worked when everything else I tried failed…vinegar, baking soda, Fabreeze, even enzyme made to clean urine.
Give it a try. It works.
Make sure you use the Lemon Pine Sol, not the Original.
Good luck.

VINEGAR WILL REMOVE ANY URINE SMELL GURANTEED AND THE BEST PART IT’S REALLY CHEAP!
USE STRAIGHT VINEGAR -DO NOT DILLUTE IT- IT MAY BE STRONG FOR A WHILE BUT AFTERWARDS THE URINE FECES SMELL IS GONE.
