I did leg work outs yesterday for winter track/conditioning and my glutes and quads ache. Is it ok to do them again the day after? Should I wait? When track starts in the spring, we usually run even if our legs ache from the day(s) before so I thought doing the workouts would be ok, but idk…..
Yeah, it should be fine. Just make sure to stretch before and after working out, and don’t strain yourself too much in your exercises. Sore muscles just mean that they’ve been torn and are now repairing themselves to be even bigger and stronger. Best of luck in track!

yes, doing a workout when you are sore is OK. You will find that running easy after a hard workout will make you feel better (looser and less sore). Sometimes you may want to work hard two days in a row. This has the affect of working on muscles that are already tired – like they might be in a race.
