It hurts every time I exercise and it involves my lower leg. At night my lower legs get restless I can’t run for like more than 30 seconds without them hurting, I can’t bike, I can’t dance. And I am perfectly healthy but my legs are very flexible.
What does the pain feel like? does it feel like sore muscles? or a burning/itchy feeling?
If its a burning/itchy feeling (feels like ants are biting you), I best describe it as sleeping muscles & nerves waking up for the first time. After a week or two, the muscles and nerves "wake up" and it goes away.
I’m a marathon runner and when I take long breaks of not running, I get those pains.
If your Shins hurt, they feel really weak and numb with sharp pains, those are shin splints, and will go away with stretching, rest and proper exercises.
Sore Muscles & Cramps & Tight Muscles (in the calf/thighs):
Drink lots of water. You’re muscles need water when you’re exercising. 2 liters a day, and before/during/after your activity. Also Potassium from Bananas help to regular the water throughout your body to prevent cramps.
Before you do exercises that involve your legs, its important to do stretches to warm up the muscles and not injury yourself. Yoga would be great for that. Slowly strengthen your muscles then try running & biking.
Your problem at night sounds like Restless leg syndrome: https://www.google.com/health/ref/Restless+leg+syndrome
I got that as a side effect from an Allergy medication. I ended up doing a really intense leg workout and it went away, also I stopped taking that medication.
hope it helps.
