Excercises For Great Legs

Then Fun and Easy Way to Great Legs

Categories

I’ve tried several varieties of ales (golden and amber) and they’ve been fairly easy to home brew. I was wondering if there is another variety of easy-to-brew beer I am missing out on.

I am not looking for any variety that is low in quality (i.e. something close to malt liquor).

A simple hefeweizen is easy to brew.

Pale ales are also a good choice, they can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be.

If you can control fermentation temp down to the mid-50s try a Scottish ale. They are easy drinking and wonderful.

My personal favorite is an English bitter. It’s basically just an English style pale ale. Which is to say a pale ale focused more on malt than a typical American pale ale, which is usually more hoppy.

The American Pale Ale, Bitters in England, and the IPA are the easiest beer for beginners. IPA is easy because you just load it with hops and it comes out bitter as expected. If you want a better English IPA it can be more calculated but not rocket science by any stretch.

Be careful about malt liquor in that many are real good especially if we consider it by style or designation and not by label or reputation.

Pale ale is the standard barrier for the nubby brewer. Don’t make a Mickey’s just don’t do it.

The easiest, most foolproof. beers are all-extract ales. I started with an English brown ale and like it so much that I brew it again every few years.
